Arabella Anderson is a Peabody Award winning and WGA Award nominated writer & director based in Los Angeles. Her work explores gender, sexuality and class through the prism of genre.

Anderson has written and produced on shows such as CW’s Riverdale, Star on Fox, and Transparent on Amazon. Anderson has also directed, written and produced short films and web-series that have premiered at various film festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival and Frameline. Currently, she is developing her third short film at the prestigious AFI DWW+ program (2026/2027 cycle.)

Anderson has guest lectured and spoken about her craft at USC, Columbia College Chicago, and Film Independent’s International Filmmakers Program.

Anderson has developed projects with HBO, Apple, Freeform, Picturestart and Imagine.

Currently, Anderson is developing a television series and a feature film based on one of her short films.
