Arabella Anderson is a Peabody Award winning and WGA Award nominated writer & director living in Los Angeles. Her work explores gender, sexuality and class through a feminist pulp lens, predominantly rooted in characters dramas that incorporate genre-mashing of horror, suspense, and the supernatural.

She has written and produced on shows such as CW’s Riverdale, Star on Fox, and Transparent on Amazon. Arabella has also directed, written and produced music videos and short films that have premiered at various film festivals including the Sundance Film Festival and Frameline. Her short horror film The Trip premiered at Screamfest LA in October 2024. She was a finalist for AFI’s DWW+ program in 2025. Currently, she is in post-production on her most recent short horror film The Craving.

Arabella has also guest lectured and spoken about her craft at USC, Columbia College Chicago, and Film Independent’s International Filmmakers Program.

Arabella has developed television projects with HBO, Apple, Freeform, Picturestart, and Imagine. Currently, Arabella is developing a television series and her first feature film.
